Responsibilities:
The successful candidate for this position will be engaged in the creation and support of a research and development program focused on PCR and real-time/qPCR applications. Job responsibilities are laboratory intensive and include library construction, vector design and construction, and gene cloning. This scientist will work closely with senior scientists to design, implement, and maintain experiments and laboratory protocols.

Skills & Requirements:
The candidate should have a BSc Honors (MSc preferred) in molecular biology or related discipline, with at least two years of relevant research experience. The candidate should have experience with standard molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR,vector design, and gene cloning methods. Expertise in the following areas are considered highly desirable: library construction, DNA polymerases and other nucleic acid processing enzymes, development of nucleic acid amplification-based methods, and a working understanding of bioinformatics tools for mining public sequence databases. Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to work in an interdisciplinary team environment are essential.
